If you had done spell check on your comments you would have found that you miss spelled just as many words as this person did. Just wondering how does spelling make someone a lost soul. Maybe you should go back to kindergarten and start all over. |
| 3. Written by be.kind., on 25-01-2009 12:32 Give me a break. You all have nothing better to do than comment on this guy's spelling. We, as human beings, all have gifts and things we aren't so gifted at. There are many people that can't spell. Who cares....I bet he can do other things you guys would not have a clue with! |
| 4. Written by Jean Haas, on 13-09-2008 18:56 This may be irrelevant, but UW-Madison accepted my Penn Foster High School diploma and transcript. UW-Madison, University of Wisconsin-Madison, is an accredited nation-wide university. I am currently in my junior year and I am grateful to Penn Foster, to this day, that they have helped paved the way to my receiving a higher education at a nation-wide competitive university. |

Written by PM3, on 01-09-2008 19:12 If the person had read that a H.S. diploma was necessary before enrolling he would have realized how little he is entitled to complain about the lack of content in the motorcycle repair program. Already lacking the motivation to properly spell, he attacks his own great expectations of a school that makes it easy for you to work towards an A.S. I am heavily looking into the Mechanical Engineering program, VERY inexpensive and after a couple of years I should have my A.S. Which, by the way, can be used as a stepping stone to a B.S. etc. |

| 7. Written by Leslie, on 27-07-2008 02:30 Im going to attend when I obtain the funds for general ed classes, although I graduated from high school, and college, back in 1996, Im planning on attending a community college for medical sonography. My niece attended this school to obtain her high school diploma and was greatly satisfied. And from the research I have done, this seems like a very good option for me. The only complaint I have, is having to obtain the fees. So at this point Im working 2 jobs to get it done. Im saving my financial aid, grants etc, for the community college. This person, however, just jumped into something without thinking things through. I was the same way, once I graduated college for a graphic design degree. Which at that point seemed like a great opportunity, but as I learned it wasnt a smart choice. Healthcare, has been something I wanted to do for such a long time. And now, I have a 2 year old, and find for these general ed "required" courses, I can work from home to be with her, as well learn at my own pace. Please dont send a bad report about something due to your mistakes. Its not fair to them, and its cheating yourself out of a decent education, which I do believe you need. Especially, with the grammar and spelling you chose to use. Sorry to be so harsh, but it does anger me that there are people out there that would love to say something bad about something that is good. The truth is, its all on you. You determine your career path. Nothing is easy, you have to work hard for a great career. |
| 8. Written by Harry, on 26-07-2008 03:59 Walter Chrysler did just fine with ICS (aka Penn Foster) when he got his master mechanic and Mech. Engineering degree from them. Success is made, not handed out. The vintage manual comes with the course as part of a grad pack because they're harder to find. Seems you missed the entire point, son. They also offer you a Work Experience Option at the end. Seems you were too lazy to utilize it. The content of the course covers contemporary models of Harley, Yamaha, Kowasaki, Polaris, etc., etc., People, these course are ACCREDITED through Middle-States and the DETC which is listed with U.S. DEPT. of Education in Wash, D.C. They're 118 years old (Collery school of cole-mining) and have been MEMBERS of BBB since 1962. They're also worldwide serving more than 200 countries and territories around the globe. They are the most affordable and fully accredited vocational school around. |

| 10. Written by JeanneKathleen, on 20-07-2008 11:28 As an off-premise grader/instructor for Penn foster for the business English and interpersonal communications programs, i can honestly say that Penn Foster is certainly not what this poster is saying it is. They advertise in various publications such as Harley magazines, in order to appeal to a diverse population. Each program is different and I personally know from experienced that each person taking courses through Penn foster comes in at a different level. Some really love our program, and some complain when I (or other graders) don't give them an A or make a comment regarding the quality (or lack thereof sometimes) of their work that they don't agree with. I think this guy is just angry and looking for something perhaps Penn Foster cannot grant. There are many other programs out there through this school, and I think penn Foster offers a great, non-traditional approach to learning. you can't blame instructors for your own ignorance. If you don't feel satisfied with their programs, go somewhere else. ![]() |
