I'm thinking about using Penn Foster, Help

I want to use penn foster for their Watercolor painting program/certification. Early on I've read reviews and comments, and I'm now unsure.
The program is $214, with the full payment plan that i want, so that I will not have to make monthly payments. I'm not planning on going to college since I can't afford it, so i'm not worried about not being accredited for college. But still need to know if I should use it anyway.
They sent me info that sounds reassuring, but after I saw this site and the things that are said on here. Should I use it eventhough I'm not going to college?

Don't do the degree programs. I've contacted about 6 different colleges including community colleges and online colleges and so far they've all told me that they will not accept any credits from Penn Foster because they are not regionally accredited by any one of the six regional accreditation firms in the United States. Also, I see they offer the Dental Assistant program on there and I know for a fact that they don't have the right accreditation in order for a student to sit the exam to become a CDA.
I too am wanting to take the course and not have to do a payment plan or anything. I know that they credit is not transferable to a accredited institution but I want to get a peak at what I will be doing once I do enroll for a degree program.
So it is only less than 500 dollars and a lot of this has to do with self inspiration so I say lets do it! :)
I'm retiring early and thinking of going into their gunsmithing program. Does anybody know/have experience with it.
I do not want a scam school. I want a program where I can learn and get certified.
i was wondering if anyone knows about the HVAC program
i wanted to learn about pc,for my own satisfaction. the amount i paid was great compared to some of these over priced colleges.
i paid a little over 500.00, compared to over 20,000 for the same course.
in my case penn-foster gets good marks. i wont mention the name of the college that was out ragiously priced, except somewhere on the west coast.
Occupational therapy assistant is a associates degree with state licience and you have to pass a test. This course is just to become a rehab aid which you can get on the job training for This is not a ota job training program.
I am one dont let them fool you. You need an accredited program by NBCOT

I'm thinking about taking interior decorator courses in Penn Foster. Does somebody know or study it?
I am interested to do the Early childhood education Associate degree or Bachelor , just confused? pls help me, is it worthwhile to do the course.
usually how long will it take to complete.
thanks
I would like to know if anybody is taking the occupational therapy assistant program. can you become certified after you receive your diploma. Or is a waste of time.
Look do not listen to this crazy student. They are acredited but if you are taking the diploma program you need to think a bit more because diploma program do not transfer anywhere anyways.
If you are doing a degree program then i can tell you to go ahead because then when you finishe and want to transfer you will transfer easily into a bachelor degree program... Best luck and if you need more help contact me kalinjoujou@***.com
They are accredited with the DETC which is a US GOverment approved agency, they are CHEA approved and they courses are ACE reviewed, don't listin to the lies of a few mad mad students.
DON'T DO IT!!!! They take your money and deliver cheap course material that will not get you a job.
And when you finally realize that, and stop sending in your hard-earned money, they put you into collections, which then stays on your credit report. IT'S A SCAM!!!
